民間儒學：以社會(hui) 科學視角探索中國及海外的儒學複興(xing)

Popular Confucianism: Exploring the Confucian Revival in China and Beyond through the Lenses of Social Science

自20世紀80年代以來，中國學術和政治層麵的儒學複興(xing) 得到了亞(ya) 洲和中國研究領域的廣泛關(guan) 注。然而，自2000年代起在民間層麵上發展的民間儒學現象卻鮮有研究，尤其是基於(yu) 實證研究和社會(hui) 科學視角的探索更是少之又少。普通大眾(zhong) ——如技術人員、職員、工人或農(nong) 民——跨越了過去隻有官員和士人才能進入的領域，比如儒家祭祀禮儀(yi) 、以儒家經典為(wei) 基礎的教育等。

Since the 1980s, the Confucian revival in China at the academic and political levels has received significant attention in Asian and Chinese studies. However, limited research has been conducted on grassroots developments in popular Confucianism since the 2000s, particularly through evidence-based research and social science perspectives. Ordinary people—technicians, employees, workers, or peasants—have crossed into areas traditionally reserved for scholar-officials, such as Confucian temples and classics-based education.

最為(wei) 顯著的教育形式是為(wei) 兒(er) 童開設的“書(shu) 院”和“私塾”裏的經典誦讀教育。人們(men) 希望通過培養(yang) 現代“德性之人”來改善中國社會(hui) 。通過經典閱讀進行的道德教育也促進了個(ge) 人的自我修養(yang) ，體(ti) 現了儒家式個(ge) 體(ti) 性與(yu) 公民身份的培養(yang) 。

The most visible educational initiative is the classics-reading education for children in so-called "study halls" and "academies." People aim to cultivate modern "virtuous persons," hoping to improve Chinese society. Moral education through reading the classics also promotes self-cultivation in the sense of Confucian individuality and citizenship.

我們(men) 誠摯邀請學者們(men) 為(wei) 本次專(zhuan) 題研討會(hui) 提交研究提案（200英文詞，並附作者簡介）。提交日期最好不晚於(yu) 6月1日（具體(ti) 日期，請聯係谘詢）。本次研討會(hui) 將於(yu) 2025年9月9日至11日在德國波恩大學（University of Bonn）召開的德國亞(ya) 洲研究會(hui) 年會(hui) 上舉(ju) 行。

我們(men) 邀請學者們(men) 參加此次研討會(hui) ，通過具體(ti) 的案例探討以下問題：

“複興(xing) ”儒學的角色與(yu) 功能是什麽(me) ？

傳(chuan) 統、曆史和遺產(chan) 等觀念在這一領域如何展現？

過去、現在與(yu) 未來之間存在哪些張力？

領域中的行動者如何與(yu) 家庭、社會(hui) 和政治互動？

我們(men) 也將共同探討和反思研究民間儒學的社會(hui) 科學方法的機遇與(yu) 挑戰。

(1) 王蒼龍

現任教於(yu) 英國布萊頓大學社會(hui) 學係，同時擔任犯罪學與(yu) 社會(hui) 學專(zhuan) 業(ye) 負責人，獲愛丁堡大學社會(hui) 學博士學位。研究方向為(wei) 儒家教育複興(xing) 的文化、社會(hui) 及政治影響，長期關(guan) 注儒學與(yu) 中國公民身份研究。著有《Rethinking Chinese Citizenship: Cultural Roots and Cultural Reach》（合編， Routledge, 2025）、《The Rise of Confucian Citizens in China: Theoretical Reflections and Empirical Explorations》（Routledge, 2023）和《Cultivating the Confucian Individual: The Confucian Education Revival in China》（Palgrave Macmillan, 2023）。

(2) Sandra Gilgan

德國波恩大學文化科學及學術項目負責人，擁有多年中國研究及可持續發展研究的經驗。曾在明斯特大學、特裏爾大學、波恩大學、台北政治大學及中國廈門大學學習(xi) 和工作。她的主要研究領域包括哲學及民間儒家、烏(wu) 托邦思想和社會(hui) 變遷。著有《Utopia in the Revival of Confucian Education: An Ethnography of the Classics-reading Movement in Contemporary China》（Brill, 2022）。
